Today in Istanbul, as part of the contract for the construction of Corvette-class ships, a solemn ceremony was held to lay the keel of the first ship.
The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa.
After the signing of the contract by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran in December 2020, the Turkish partners completed the first stages of ship construction, and already built part of the blocks of its hull. The contract is executed on schedule.
It will be recalled that the first corvette will be introduced into the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024 after its completion at Ukrainian shipbuilding enterprises.
